About the role#
Manulife is seeking motivated individuals for the Winter 2027 co-op term. This Business Analyst role offers exposure to various departments including Compliance, Transformation Delivery, Treasury, and Global Operations. You will perform problem-solving work while learning how business transformations impact the organization. This position is full-time and operates on a hybrid basis.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members to assess, manage, and respond to ongoing analytics needs.
- Partner with the team to drive strategic priorities, represent the group on cross-functional projects, and recommend solutions to keep initiatives on track.
- Research and analyze industry trends, market positioning, and competitive activity.
- Support the implementation of a strategic planning framework that assists leaders with decision-making.
- Promote collaboration among stakeholders to ensure successful and efficient delivery of projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Highly developed planning, organizing, and negotiating skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to view problems from a big-picture perspective.
- A working knowledge of Excel, Excel VBA Macros, Power BI, SQL, and SEO analysis is considered an asset.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and work through internal ambiguity.
