About the role#
This internship involves maintaining the facility to keep it clean and orderly. You will report to the facility maintenance manager and perform a variety of tasks to meet government and management standards. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Clean floors, bathrooms, and outside areas.
- Wash walls, windows, ceilings, and woodwork.
- Dust office furniture like desks, bookshelves, and cabinets.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC equipment.
- Collect and dispose of trash and litter from grounds, streets, and parking lots.
- Sweep exterior steps, entrances, landings, and sidewalks.
- Use cleaning compounds, waxes, and disinfectants as directed.
- Work evenings and some weekends as required.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current Job Corps student.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You must have completed your work-based learning requirement.
- You should be reliable and prepared to work a flexible schedule.

- Pay: $18.32 per hour.
