Student Intern, Food Services

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity for a student to support food service operations. You will report to the food services supervisor and assist in meal preparation while maintaining health and safety standards. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position with a rolling term.

What you'll do#

• Assist cooks and cook helpers with the preparation of student meals.
• Perform sanitation and clean-up duties in food preparation, storage, and dish room areas.
• Transfer merchandise ingredients to the cooking area and ensure an adequate food supply.
• Maintain the student snack bar and clean the outside area of the Admin Building.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Must be a current Job Corps student and a completer ready for work-based learning.
• Enrollment in the Culinary Arts program is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid student card.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and some weekends.

• Compensation: $17.20 per hour
