About the role#
This internship supports the food services team by assisting cooks and helpers with meal preparation. You will work under the direction of the food services supervisor to ensure meals meet government and management standards.
What you'll do#
- Clean and sanitize food preparation, storage, and dish room areas.
- Move ingredients and supplies to the cooking area.
- Prepare items such as vegetables, salads, meats, breads, and desserts.
- Keep your work area clean and safe to maintain high standards.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current Earl C. Clements Job Corps student.
- You need to be a completer and ready for work based learning.
- You must be able to obtain a Servsafe certification or food handlers permit within 90 days.
- You should have an aptitude for kitchen work.
- You must follow all sanitation dress codes.
Location & details#
- Location: Morganfield, Kentucky.
- Pay: $17.20 per hour.
- Schedule: Part time with rolling start dates.
- Work environment: On-site.
