About the role#
This internship supports the food services team by assisting with meal preparation and maintaining kitchen sanitation. You will report to the food services supervisor and help ensure that student meals meet health and nutritional standards.
What you'll do#
- Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients.
- Transfer ingredients and supplies to the cooking area.
- Portion food, set up serving lines, and serve meals to students.
- Clean and sanitize the dish room, kitchen counters, and eating areas.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Store deliveries, maintain refrigerators and freezers, and rotate stock.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Job Corps student.
- Status as a completer ready for work-based learning.
- Age 18 or older.
- Possession of a valid student card.
- Enrollment in the Culinary Arts program is preferred.
- Reliability and availability to work evenings and some weekends.

- Schedule: Part-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: $18.26 per hour.
