About the role#
We are looking for an Engineering Co-op Student to join our team in Brampton for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will support our engineering and program management teams on various manufacturing projects. You will be expected to work independently, manage tight timelines, and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
What you'll do#
- Define and execute project tasks as directed by the Engineering or Program Manager.
- Create and document project procedures and methods.
- Lead regular team follow-up meetings and report progress to management.
- Visit external suppliers to support program trials.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain your work area using 5S principles.
- Adhere to IATF-16949 quality standards and the Magna Code of Conduct.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Light, and SpinFire.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and comfort with word processing and spreadsheet software.
- A valid driver's license and your own transportation.
- Experience with injection moulding machines, writing standard operating procedures, or working with external suppliers is an asset.
