About the role#
The IT Support Intern provides technical assistance within the IT department. You will help maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems. This position offers hands-on experience with real-world IT operations for students currently pursuing a degree in a technical field.
What you'll do#
- Respond to and resolve user-submitted tickets for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Configure and deploy new employee workstations, including computers and peripherals.
- Install, update, and patch applications and operating systems.
- Participate in IT security audits such as ITGC, IATC, and Tisax.
- Use scripting and Microsoft Copilot agents to automate daily IT tasks and processes.
- Troubleshoot connectivity problems and assist users with network resources.
- Maintain records of IT assets, including hardware, mobile devices, and software licenses.
- Create user-friendly guides and document technical processes.
- Assist with user account management and security protocol implementation.
- Contribute to IT projects like system upgrades, data migrations, and technology rollouts.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of AI models and the ability to create automations to streamline IT workloads.
- Ability to review IT audit controls and determine methods to automate data collection.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic troubleshooting tools.
- Exposure to Active Directory, network infrastructure, and IT ticketing systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with scripting like PowerShell or Bash and database management is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of A/V integration and installation is a plus.
