- Execute design of experiments (DOEs), CAD modeling, and fixturing.
- Troubleshoot issues affecting production runtime and quality targets.
- Manage and operate pilot line electrode and cell assembly equipment.
- Implement and scale manufacturing of jelly roll and current collectors.
- Apply industrial engineering principles to improve process flow, safety, and throughput.
- Assist with data mining and correlation of variables to establish process control limits.
- Program control limits and HMI warnings.
- Support the development, commissioning, and optimization of inline metrology systems.
- Communicate between engineering and production teams to improve processes.
- Create technical documentation and provide operator training.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Electrical, Aerospace, or a related engineering field.
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Catia, CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, or 3DX.
- Proficiency in PLC code programming and structure using Siemens, Beckhoff, or Rockwell PLC.
- Experience using MATLAB or Simulink for modeling physical systems.
- Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology and electrochemistry.
- Understanding of first-principle physics regarding electrical and mechanical systems, power delivery, energy storage, and thermo-fluids engineering.
Location & details#
- Terms available: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time, on-site, for a minimum of 12 weeks.
