About the role#
As a Technical Sourcing Intern, you will help build and execute search strategies for talent across AI, Robotics, and Terafab initiatives. You will support recruiting partners by mapping technical markets and turning research into qualified talent pipelines. This role is an opportunity to contribute to the recruiting engine that supports Tesla engineering teams.
What you'll do#
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand team priorities and develop candidate campaigns for autonomy, robotics, AI systems, and semiconductor manufacturing.
- Use a full sourcing toolkit including Boolean and X-ray search, LinkedIn, GitHub, open-source communities, publications, patents, and conference lists.
- Research and map talent markets relevant to Full Self-Driving software, AI infrastructure, Optimus, and Terafab.
- Coordinate requests while maintaining communication between candidates, recruiters, and stakeholders.
- Update candidate records in recruiting systems to ensure data integrity.
- Calibrate searches based on feedback from screens and interviews to improve strategy.
- Identify opportunities to improve the candidate experience and support outreach efforts.
- Build simple tools, lists, or processes to increase sourcing efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site for a minimum of 12 weeks.
- Evidence of research skill through coursework, projects, clubs, or prior work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with at least one research surface such as LinkedIn, GitHub, Google Scholar, or patent searches.
- Curiosity about how advanced technical products are built and a willingness to learn the language of AI, robotics, and semiconductors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to change and learn quickly.
- Exposure to technical recruiting, university recruiting, or talent research is a plus.
- Academic focus or project experience in AI/ML, robotics, computer engineering, or semiconductor fields is preferred.
- Experience building lightweight tools or automations is a plus.

- Compensation: $21.00 - $31.00 per hour plus benefits.
