About the role#
Irving Consumer Products is seeking a Corporate Reliability Engineering Co-op Student for a 12-month term starting in Winter 2027. You will work alongside Project Engineering and the Asset Reliability Group to maintain and improve equipment reliability across our operations.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate on the reliability and maintainability of new and modified equipment installations.
- Help develop standards, design specifications, and commissioning plans for Asset Reliability.
- Define, monitor, and refine Asset Maintenance Plans, including preventive maintenance tasks and non-destructive testing methodologies.
- Evaluate technical MRO suppliers and maintenance service providers while developing inspection criteria.
- Provide input for Risk Management Plans to address operational risks.
- Create engineering solutions for repetitive failures affecting capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance.
- Participate in the final checkout of new installations and guide efforts to ensure the reliability of utilities, controls, and safety systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering degree program, with at least 2 years completed.
- Fluency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to work in an organized manner, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Experience with CAD (AutoCAD LT), Visio, Database, and SharePoint is preferred.
