About the role#
This is a 10-week paid summer internship within the Internal Audit Information Technology team. You will participate in the Foundational Analyst Rotational program, though this is not a rotational role. You will work on this specific team for the duration of the summer. The program includes networking, mentorship, and various professional development events.
What you'll do#
- Gain an understanding of how a medium-sized publicly traded company operates, including exposure to internal systems and databases.
- Participate in process walkthroughs and perform audit testing in accordance with professional standards.
- Use analytics tools like Alteryx and Tableau to perform audit testing and support continuous monitoring.
- Manage various assignments and projects to build your project management skills.
- Interact with company leaders to explore career opportunities at LPL Financial.
- Attend department meetings and events throughout the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current sophomore or junior status.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Basic knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau, and SQL.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, from June 1, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
- Preferred majors include Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, Accounting, or Mathematics.
Location & details#
- This position is located on-site in either Fort Mill, South Carolina, or Charlotte, North Carolina.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
