About the role#
As a High School Civil Engineering Intern in our Transportation group, you will gain hands-on experience in the civil engineering industry. This role provides exposure to our company culture, project phases, and the day-to-day operations of our engineering teams. You will work on specific assignments that support larger projects while learning about our various sectors and services.
What you'll do#
- Complete engineering assignments under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Shadow team members to learn about project workflows and operations.
- Handle unique tasks that contribute to larger project goals.
- Participate in social engagement activities and company events.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 3 years of high school.
- Interest in pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM field.
- Previous or current enrollment in engineering or STEM coursework.
- Strong academic performance and a high level of motivation.
- Good organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in work.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on MS Excel.
- A sincere desire to learn about the company and the engineering industry.
