About the role#
As a Civil Engineering Intern in the Transportation division, you will join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Austin, Texas, for a full-time, 40-hour work week. This program provides hands-on experience by integrating you into project teams where you will contribute to real-world assignments alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Perform engineering tasks under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Shadow actual operations to learn about different project phases.
- Support larger projects and gain insight into the day-to-day workings of the engineering field.
- Participate in social engagement activities and learn about LJA sectors and services.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year of college.
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong academic performance and a high level of motivation.
- Good organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on MS Excel.
- A sincere desire to gain experience and knowledge within the industry.
