About the role#
Michael Baker International is looking for Civil Engineering interns for the Summer 2027 term. You will work out of our Midvale, Utah office. This role focuses on supporting our bridge, roadway, and drainage teams. You will apply your engineering knowledge to real-world infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform civil design and analysis for infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Prepare construction documents, drawings, maps, and technical reports.
- Create supporting documentation and engineering calculations.
- Learn company policies, client standards, and project procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Civil Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of coursework toward your degree.
- 0 to 2 years of roadway or highway design experience.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing project priorities.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to build professional relationships with a diverse group of people.
- Proficiency in MicroStation and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
