About the role#
As a Full Stack Software Engineer Co-op, you will work on onboarding systems that connect data science models to real-world applications in the power utilities industry. You will join the Software Engineering Team to modernize the grid using Python, Typescript, and React within a cloud-first environment.
What you'll do#
- Build features across major software components, contributing to both frontend and backend development.
- Design, plan, and execute project initiatives from start to finish.
- Enhance tooling for sensors and models deployed in the field.
- Conduct regular pull request reviews to provide feedback and maintain code quality.
- Communicate with stakeholders to align on project goals and resolve issues.
What you'll need#
- Experience with Python, Typescript, and React.
- Background working on RESTful APIs and building on AWS or other cloud systems.
- Ability to think critically to develop creative solutions.
- Commitment to taking ownership of your work and overall software health.
- Ability to provide precise, thoughtful feedback during code reviews.
- Focus on quality, craftsmanship, and accuracy in your execution.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlestown, Massachusetts.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 19 to August 27, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid (2-4 days per week in the office).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $25 per hour.
- Status: Paid position.
