About the role#
As an Information Technology Co-op, you will act as the primary point of contact for technical support at LineVision. You will balance daily troubleshooting with infrastructure projects aimed at improving security and operational efficiency. This role involves implementing zero-touch device deployment and data classification initiatives while ensuring our team remains productive and secure.
What you'll do#
- Provide responsive IT support by troubleshooting laptops and resolving access issues.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Use Workspace One UEM automated staging and integrate with Apple Business Manager to streamline new hire setups.
- Apply confidential data handling controls to enforce company data management policies.
- Document IT processes and workflows to build institutional knowledge.
- Identify opportunities to use AI to automate support tasks based on recurring issues.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to users at all levels.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting both Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace, including Drive, Gmail, and Calendar.
- Experience using support ticketing systems to track requests and document solutions.
- A detail-oriented approach to configuring deployment tools and validating security controls.
- Ability to work independently to research solutions and propose process improvements.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Location & details#
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Term: Winter and Summer 2027 (January 19 to August 27, 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (2-4 days per week on-site).
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
