About the role#
As a Student Radiology Tech at Sovah Health in Danville, you will support our diagnostic imaging team. This role is a PRN position that requires a flexible work schedule. You will assist in providing care to patients while continuing your education in the field.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine diagnostic imaging studies.
- Explain the nature of tests to patients to help relieve their anxiety.
- Maintain a work area that is free from hazards.
- Use your knowledge of anatomy, Radiographic Positioning, and Radiation Safety to ensure quality care.
- Apply Infection Control and Quality Control techniques during your daily tasks.
- Interact with patients, physicians, and staff in a helpful and professional manner.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree, diploma, or associate degree program in Radiologic Technology.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of imaging equipment and radiographic techniques.

- Location: Danville, Virginia.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: PRN (part-time, as needed).
- Compensation: $15.27 to $18.14 per hour.
