About the role#
The School of Divinity seeks a Student Worker to provide academic and administrative support on campus. You will work under the direction of the Dean’s office, a Department Chair, or a professor. This role involves assisting with daily operations, classroom needs, and department events.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Dean’s office or faculty with administrative tasks and projects.
- Support professors in class settings, including grading and student communication.
- Track student attendance using Top Hat and Canvas.
- Prepare and edit documents in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Attend all required department training sessions and events.
- Follow university dress code and conduct policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student in good standing.
- Local residency in the Lynchburg area to work on campus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to learn and use technical systems required for the role.
- Majors preferred include Communications, Business Administration, Psychology, or Political Science.

- Compensation: Starts at $12.77 per hour.
