About the role#
The SGA Work Assistant manages daily operations within the SGA office. You will report to the SGA Director and ensure the workspace remains organized, staffed, and functional. This position supports the vision of the SGA and the university while maintaining office policies.
What you'll do#
- Oversee general office operations and direct daily activities.
- Maintain and clean all office and storage areas.
- Track student attendance by managing the check-in and check-out process.
- Foster a welcoming environment for students and staff.
- Promote teamwork and identify ways to improve office efficiency.
- Follow all established office policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Understanding of general SGA operations.
- Fluency in MS Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and use deductive reasoning.
- Capacity to delegate tasks and handle unexpected issues.
- Self-motivation and the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located in Lynchburg, Virginia.
- This is a part-time role with rolling start dates.
- The pay rate starts at $12.77 per hour.
