About the role#
This Systems Engineering Internship provides an opportunity to work directly with engineering teams at Leonardo DRS. You will gain exposure to company methods, programs, and practices while contributing to ongoing projects during the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Beavercreek, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with daily assignments and follow basic work instructions.
- Conduct limited scope testing and perform design analysis or calculations under supervision.
- Gather and assemble data for engineering projects.
- Support research efforts in specific fields.
- Help develop design details.
- Complete assigned tasks within designated timelines.
- Engage with staff to learn about departmental methods and practices.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in an engineering degree program.
- Diligence, a strong work ethic, and a quick learning aptitude.
- Good interpersonal skills for building professional networks.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD security clearance.
