About the role#
This is a full-time co-op position for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside professional engineers to gain hands-on experience in mechanical, HVAC, and energy design. The role involves working on complex building projects and contributing to the design team. This is a paid position requiring on-site work in our Lexington office.
What you'll do#
- Produce detailed layouts and equipment details for HVAC systems.
- Create one-line diagrams and schematics.
- Help the design team assemble organized sets of construction drawings.
- Assist with data collection and field verification at project sites.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop various aspects of building projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- A strong interest in building systems mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT is preferred.
- Ability to work full time in our office for the duration of the term.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to travel locally for job site inspections and field work.
