    About the role#

    This co-op position offers hands-on training in electrical design for building projects. You will work alongside professional engineers to learn how to design and implement electrical infrastructure and energy-efficient systems. The role involves contributing to complex MEP projects as a member of our design team. This is a full-time, on-site position for the Winter 2027 term.

    What you'll do#

    • Learn and implement electrical system basics, including power distribution, lighting, controls, and fire alarm systems.
    • Produce detailed layouts and equipment details for building electrical systems.
    • Create one-line diagrams and schematics.
    • Assist the design team in assembling organized sets of drawings.
    • Work with designers and engineers to develop project aspects.
    • Assist with data collection or field verification, which may involve local travel to job sites.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
    • A strong interest in building systems electrical engineering.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
    • Ability to work full time throughout the co-op term.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
