About the role#
We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer Intern for a Winter 2027 co-op position. This role offers an immersive experience in Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contracting. You will work alongside full-time engineers and Professional Engineers on real project tasks. Our program aims to build your technical skills through hands-on work in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project development, including site visits and building audits.
- Create energy models and run calculations to test the feasibility of energy savings measures.
- Produce construction documents using CAD software.
- Assemble and organize project drawings and documentation.
- Collect and analyze energy data, which includes field verification.
- Work with designers and engineers to develop project components.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- A minimum GPA of 3.39.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- The ability to travel locally for field work.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
