About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Lighting Design internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within the Energy Solutions division, gaining hands-on experience with commercial lighting systems. You will support project managers and work alongside professional engineers to deliver LED lighting upgrade designs from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project development, including conducting site visits and building audits.
- Perform energy calculations for lighting upgrades.
- Create detailed construction documents for LED upgrades using CAD software.
- Support construction management and material procurement staff during project implementation.
- Verify the proper installation and implementation of LED lighting upgrades in the field.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BSEE program, preferably as a sophomore or junior.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
- Ability to travel for field work.
