About the role#
Legence is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Intern or Co-op for the Winter 2027 term. This position is based in Media, Pennsylvania. You will work on-site as part of the Energy Solutions division, focusing on Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contracts. This is a full-time, paid position. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available.
What you'll do#
You will work alongside professional engineers on various project development tasks. Your primary duties include:
- Assisting with site visits, building audits, and energy calculations.
- Generating energy models to evaluate the feasibility of energy savings measures.
- Creating detailed construction documents using CAD.
- Organizing project drawings and documentation.
- Collecting and analyzing energy data through field verification.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- A minimum GPA of 3.39.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to travel locally for field work.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
