About the role#
This internship supports purchasing and sourcing activities within our operations. You will assist with supplier pricing, material procurement, and order coordination to ensure timely delivery of supply needs. The role involves working with internal teams and suppliers while following company requirements and regulatory guidelines.
What you'll do#
- Support the submission of RFQs to suppliers to develop CML pricing.
- Procure material, equipment, supplies, services, and commodity products.
- Negotiate the price, delivery, and quality of products and services.
- Track purchase orders through reports, open commitments, and receiving discrepancies.
- Interface with receiving and accounting departments to resolve issues.
- Confer with suppliers to determine factors that affect the total cost of ownership.
- Interpret FAR, DFAR, and ITAR laws regarding import and export control.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for supply chain management or a related field.
- Knowledge of supply chain management, lean manufacturing, assembly, and ATP processes is preferred.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or other lean experience is a plus.

- This position is based in Richardson, Texas.
- The role is on-site.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The work schedule follows a 9/80 format, meaning you work 80 hours over 9 days in a 14-day period with every other Friday off.
