About the role#
The Supply Chain Management Co-op program at HII offers hands-on experience in the defense and space manufacturing industry. This is a paid, part-time position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Newport News, Virginia, with a commitment of up to 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Develop strategic plans and eBusiness initiatives.
- Negotiate purchase order contracts.
- Assist with manufacturing resource planning and inventory management.
- Participate in process improvement projects, including Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
What you'll need#
- You are a U.S. citizen.
- You are a full-time student at a 4-year college or university.
- You have completed your freshman year (completion of sophomore year is preferred).
- You maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
- You are pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- You must provide unofficial transcripts with your application.
