About the role#
As a Production Planning Intern, you will help manage the flow of materials and production schedules. You will translate engineering drawings into actionable work instructions and bills of material. This role supports the procurement, fabrication, and assembly processes to ensure we meet our delivery commitments.
What you'll do#
- Create and carry out manufacturing build plans.
- Use the Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system to track material availability, kit readiness, and shop order status.
- Manage floor stock for program components.
- Update lead times for manufactured items within the MRP system.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality teams to execute schedules and resolve production issues.
- Provide hardware status updates and performance statistics to the program team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage large sets of quantitative data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Familiarity with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) systems.
- Experience or knowledge in scheduling or supply chain planning is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and communicate effectively with team members.

- This is an on-site position based in Waco, Texas.
- The role is full-time and paid.
