About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern in Camden, you will work on systems and processes to improve operational effectiveness. You will handle projects under general supervision, solve problems using your own analysis, and coordinate with different departments to interpret procedures. This role involves working a 4/10 schedule, which consists of four 10-hour days each week.
What you'll do#
- Identify and recommend enhancements to current systems and processes.
- Solve operational problems by drawing on your own experience and analysis.
- Communicate with internal and external contacts to explain processes and practices.
- Work toward specific program and project targets.
- Manage assigned projects or processes with general supervision.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
- Practical experience with soldering or basic electronic manufacturing.
- Proficiency with basic CAD software.
- Familiarity with statistical software such as Minitab or JMP.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification.
