About the role#
This internship supports purchasing and sourcing activities at L3Harris Technologies. You will assist with supplier pricing, material procurement, and order coordination. The role involves monitoring purchase orders, resolving routine discrepancies, and working with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
What you'll do#
- Support the submission of RFQs to suppliers to develop Consolidated Material Lists pricing.
- Assist in the procurement of material, equipment, supplies, services, and commodity products.
- Track all purchase orders through reports, including open commitments, receiving discrepancies, and supplier corrective action responses.
- Interface with receiving and accounting departments to resolve issues.
- Confer with suppliers to determine factors that affect competitive total cost of ownership.
- Interpret FAR, DFAR, and ITAR laws regarding import and export control certifications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of supply chain management, lean manufacturing, assembly, and ATP processes.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or other lean experience is preferred.

- Location: Melbourne, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes working 80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off.
- This is a paid, full-time internship. Sponsorship is not provided.
