About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will apply computer science and engineering principles to develop software for target applications. You will work with cross-functional team members to evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, ensuring the system meets operational requirements. This role covers the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing of embedded software for tactical radio equipment.
What you'll do#
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Develop software test procedures and documentation.
- Use modeling tools to conduct experimental tests and evaluate operating data.
- Participate in peer reviews to identify, track, and repair defects.
- Write software for various platforms using languages such as C++, C#, Java, and others.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of software languages like C++, C#, and Java.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with the software development life cycle.
- Ability to conduct peer reviews and identify software defects.
Location & details#
- Location: Melbourne, Florida.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
