About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will apply concepts from computer science, engineering, and mathematics to develop software for target applications. You will work within a cross-functional engineering team to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, while helping to design overall system requirements. This position is based in Camden, New Jersey, and operates on a 9/80 schedule, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software for real-time control of tactical radio equipment.
- Develop software test procedures, programs, and related documentation.
- Use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct tests, and evaluate results.
- Participate in peer reviews to identify, track, and repair defects.
- Work with various languages including C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, and Python across Windows, Linux, and real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or a related field at an accredited university.
