About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience with manufacturing operations, company programs, and standard industrial engineering practices. You will work on-site in Waco, Texas, on a 4/10 schedule from Monday through Thursday.
What you'll do#
- Perform operation, variance, and method improvement analysis.
- Audit labor standards to ensure accuracy.
- Evaluate the economics of suggestions and process improvements.
- Create charts, graphs, and reports regarding work flow, layout, sequence, and manpower.
- Assist with capital expenditure analysis, justification, and forecasting.
- Support plant and office space planning to improve efficiency.
- Help develop LEAN implementation plans and lead process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program.
- Relevant majors include Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, or Quality Sciences.
