About the role#
This summer internship offers hands-on experience within the human resources department at L3Harris Technologies. You will work alongside HR professionals and client groups to support talent initiatives that align with business objectives. The role focuses on developing practical knowledge of HR practices while contributing to projects that improve employee engagement and workforce planning.
What you'll do#
- Partner with client groups to build and execute talent plans.
- Proactively identify issues and implement solutions to improve employee engagement and experience.
- Lead or participate in special projects both within and outside the HR function.
- Use business analytics to help leaders make informed talent decisions.
- Maintain high professional standards and demonstrate company core values in your daily work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s degree program for Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience with performance management, employee relations, staffing, compensation, diversity, or organizational development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems like PeopleSoft.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: This is a full-time, on-site position. The role follows a 9/80 schedule, where you work 80 hours over 9 days in a 14-day period with every other Friday off.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
