About the role#
This internship in the FPGA Design Department focuses on the design and coding of high-speed FPGA logic for military aircraft processing products. You will work alongside senior engineers to learn the full product development life cycle and gain experience in FPGA implementation.
What you'll do#
- Create design concepts and architectures to meet performance requirements.
- Design sub-systems and modules with a focus on digital circuits and FPGA code.
- Coordinate integration efforts with other engineering teams.
- Run FPGA simulations to verify performance.
- Integrate and test FPGAs on circuit card assemblies.
- Support the development and integration of VHDL into FPGA families.
- Assist with bench-level system integration involving hardware and software.
- Help troubleshoot test failures during qualification and production.
- Support customers with the use and troubleshooting of fielded products.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of basic FPGA design tools for Altera or AMD (Xilinx).
- Completed coursework in digital logic and reconfigurable logic design.
- Experience coding in VHDL, modeling algorithms, and simulating FPGA-based modules.
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule (80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off).
- Position type: Full-time internship.
