About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship focused on artificial intelligence. You will join our team to build and refine machine learning solutions. This position is on-site in either Melbourne, Florida, or Rochester, New York.
What you'll do#
- Develop machine learning solutions using data-driven models.
- Improve MLOps and data pipelines.
- Create data plans by working with multi-domain datasets and phenomenologies.
- Perform data curation and exploratory data analysis.
- Support the regression testing, validation, and documentation of ML models.
- Identify pre-trained models and integrate them into solution pipelines.
- Research foundation models and advocate for their use in larger AI solutions.
- Maintain and optimize containerization for AI and ML workloads.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Experience with differentiable programming libraries like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Proficiency with database manipulation libraries such as SQL, NoSQL, Pandas, or PySpark.
- Experience using Python and building virtual environments like Conda, UV, or Docker.
- Experience developing models using classical and state-of-the-art machine learning techniques.
- Experience maintaining training and inference infrastructure for ML models.

- Schedule: 9/80 schedule (80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off).
