About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Electrical Engineer Intern position for Summer 2026. You will join our team in Waco, Texas, to support engineering projects within the defense and space manufacturing sector. This role is on-site.
What you'll do#
- Define design approaches and parameters for engineering projects.
- Analyze systems to check if designs are feasible under specific time and cost constraints.
- Use modeling tools and equipment to gather operating data and run experimental tests.
- Evaluate test results to refine designs.
- Select equipment and components based on reliability and technical specifications.
- Run simulations and present your design reviews to peer engineers.
- Write scripts to control synthesis and build tools.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience or knowledge in areas such as VHDL, MCM, HFSS, RF, Photonics, FPGA, DSP, or communication systems.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, and circuit analysis concepts.
- Experience with software tools like Code V, Zemax, or FRED.
- Ability to work in both LINUX and Windows computing environments.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes 80 hours worked over 9 days with every other Friday off.
