About the role#
As an IT Quality Assurance Intern, you will join our Information Technology team to support the Software Quality Assurance organization. You will work alongside experienced professionals, developers, and business teams to ensure the quality and reliability of applications used across the company. This internship provides hands-on experience with software testing, defect management, and Agile development practices.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and execute test plans and test cases.
- Perform functional and regression testing on web and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using established processes.
- Participate in Agile and Scrum events and team activities.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and QA team members to resolve issues.
- Verify bug fixes and validate application functionality.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with web technologies and terminology.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of SQL is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin.
- Schedule: This is a paid, full-time equivalent internship lasting approximately six months.
- Hours: 20 hours per week during the academic semester and up to 40 hours per week during school breaks.
