About the role#
The Quality Control Laboratory Intern supports daily operations within the analytical lab. You will assist with routine testing, maintain safety standards, and contribute to method development. This role provides hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation and scientific processes. You will also assist lab analysts with housekeeping tasks to ensure an efficient work environment.
What you'll do#
- Learn and assist in performing routine analytical testing based on established laboratory procedures.
- Follow all laboratory safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
- Support lab analysts with general housekeeping to maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Gain familiarity with common laboratory instrumentation and its applications.
- Contribute to analytical method development and improvement as part of an assigned summer project.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a B.S. in Chemistry or an equivalent degree.
- Completed at least two years of college education with at least three chemistry classes finished.
- A minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and a record of extracurricular achievement.
- Demonstrated communication and leadership skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a track record of adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening process.
