About the role#
The Mechanical Reliability Engineer Intern supports field-based projects at our chemical manufacturing facility. You will verify project details in production areas, manage your own tasks, and work alongside a diverse team. This position requires hands-on involvement in an industrial setting, including physical tasks like climbing columns and entering confined spaces. You will report to a manager or mentor to share project updates and discuss your development goals.
What you'll do#
- Enter production areas to verify project details and ensure alignment with scope and objectives.
- Take initiative and demonstrate self-driven progress on assigned intern projects.
- Collaborate effectively within a team that includes individuals with diverse skills and backgrounds.
- Communicate project updates, learning needs, and development goals with your assigned manager or mentor.
- Safely climb columns and enter confined spaces as required by project activities.
- Work extended hours periodically to meet project deadlines or operational needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of college education before the start of the internship.
- Strong academic performance with a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and extracurricular achievement.
- Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
- Demonstrated communication and leadership skills.
- A proven track record of adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal U.S. working authorization.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening process.
