About the role#
The Mechanical Test Engineering Co-Op program at The Lubrizol Corporation provides hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing and mechanical testing. You will rotate through various assignments in Wickliffe, Ohio, gaining exposure to different aspects of laboratory operations and engineering projects. This is a paid, full-time position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support laboratory tests and engineering projects related to sensor technology, fuels, lubricants, and emissions for various engine types.
- Operate stationary test rigs to stress drivetrain lubricants.
- Dismantle and rebuild hardware.
- Gain familiarity with data acquisition and control systems.
- Work with engineering teams on specification testing, research testing, and developing new procedures.
- Design or improve control systems and assist with problem solving.
- Rotate through assignments that increase in responsibility as you progress through the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program at an accredited university.
- A graduation date of 2029 or later.
- Ability to complete three or more co-op work terms.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- A GPA above 3.0 is preferred for priority consideration.
