About the role#
The 2027 R&D Internship Program is a ten-week leadership development experience designed to cultivate future leaders at Kraft Heinz. The program begins with one week of onboarding in Chicago, followed by eight weeks of project-based work, and concludes with a final week of presentations to executive leadership. Interns participate in weekly sessions focused on leadership growth and skill development, with opportunities to engage directly with senior executives and mentors. High-performing interns may be considered for full-time R&D roles upon completion of the program.
What you'll do#
- Design and execute product testing to strengthen quality.
- Drive innovation and develop packaging improvements.
- Explore ESG priorities and identify opportunities relevant to Gen Z audiences.
- Conduct research to uncover business opportunities and creative solutions.
- Collaborate across the business to support brand growth and portfolio renovation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 1, 2027, and June 30, 2029.
- Academic background in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Nutrition, or Communications.
- Ability to think innovatively and solve complex problems.
- Capability to distill complex concepts into simple, actionable insights.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to navigate challenges.
- A passion for the company values and the future of its brands.

- Location: Glenview, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid internship ($28 USD per hour).
- Housing: Provided for the duration of the program.
