About the role#
Our Toronto office is looking for early talent to join the Asset Management Digital Solutions (AMDS) team as a Software Developer for a Summer 2027 co-op or internship. This role is based at our Toronto Bay-Adelaide office. You will work within a team of developers and project managers to build digital solutions for the asset management industry.
What you'll do#
- Develop and design products for the asset management sector.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and high-performance code.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including testing and deployment.
- Implement team best practices and participate in code reviews.
- Write and execute unit tests for your code.
- Research and evaluate new tools and technologies to drive innovation.
- Collaborate with product specialists and software engineers to draft functional specifications.
What you'll need#
- Currently completing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Experience building applications using frameworks such as Vue.JS, ReactJS, Node.js, C#.Net Core, or Python.
- Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases, including Cosmos DB, SQL, and MySQL.
- Strong skills in designing and using REST APIs.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented principles.
- Strong knowledge of GIT.
- Ability to see the big picture and focus on detail.
