About the role#
Our Toronto office is looking for undergraduate students to join our Actuarial practice as an Intern or Co-op student. You will support our business and clients across either Total Rewards & Actuarial Consulting or Actuarial, Risk and Insurance Services. This role is available for Winter, Summer, or Fall 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Analyze defined benefit plan financial statement disclosures for year-end audits.
- Calculate benefit entitlements for retiring and terminating pension plan members.
- Compile and analyze actuarial assumption data for audit clients.
- Support projects such as acquisitions and valuations.
- Perform actuarial modeling and financial reporting.
- Provide specialist actuarial support to the audit of insurance companies.
What you'll need#
- Currently in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of university.
- Pursuing a major in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, computer science, or data science.
- Knowledge of life contingencies and financial mathematics concepts.
- Strong technical skills in Excel.
- Detail-oriented approach with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter who can prioritize tasks effectively.
