About the role#
The Alpha Strategies team manages market neutral relative value and arbitrage strategies within the Public Equities division. This role supports the team with investment research, portfolio analytics, operational tasks, and data management. You will work on a full-time basis for a 4-month term from May 2027 through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Provide day-to-day operational support and management for the Alpha Strategies portfolio.
- Conduct fundamental equity and credit research to support idea generation.
- Build and maintain valuation models, screening databases, and related data sets.
- Develop and communicate research findings to the team.
- Collaborate with various teams across the organization to reach common goals.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
- Proven financial modeling skills and the ability to perform detailed analysis.
- Strong technical proficiency with tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Factset, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships as a team player.
- Progress toward a CFA designation, programming or data analysis skills, and prior trading experience are considered assets.
