About the role#
Tower Research Capital is looking for a Software Developer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Montreal. You will work within a quantitative trading environment, focusing on high-performance systems and electronic trading infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Optimize systems using network and systems programming to minimize latency.
- Design and build systems to collect, analyze, and visualize large datasets.
- Create data pipelines to capture market and reference data, ensuring fast and easy access.
- Build systems for algorithmic trading.
- Develop AI-assisted automation solutions to improve trading operation efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of programming concepts and object-oriented programming.
- Proficiency in development languages such as C++, Golang, Java, Python, or Rust.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, and Linux.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Genuine interest in financial markets.
- Fluency in both French and English, as the role requires regular interaction with international team members.
