About the role#
The Lodging Intern at Riverbend works within the Hospitality department to gain a complete operational understanding of the business. You will train across all functional roles to develop the skills needed to manage these areas independently when the manager is off-site. This role focuses on building leadership capabilities and understanding the financial aspects of department operations.
What you'll do#
- Train in various functional positions to learn daily operations and customer service.
- Manage scheduling and interview front line staff.
- Lead daily communications and build member relations through active problem solving.
- Serve as Manager on Duty and interact with the Executive Management Committee.
- Gain experience in performance management and conduct performance evaluations.
- Learn to use software systems including Touch, Springer Miller, Microsoft Office, Infogenesis, and inventory management tools.
- Complete a final project and deliver a presentation to the Executive Management Team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior in a four-year college program.
- A major focused on hospitality, resort, or spa management.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Authorization to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site internship located in Kohler, Wisconsin.
- The term runs for a minimum of 12 weeks, from May 18, 2027, through August 7, 2027.
- Shifts vary between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm, including weekdays and weekends.
- This is a paid, full-time position at $18.00 per hour.
