About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring an intern for the Fall 2026 term in the Delray Beach, Florida office. This is a full-time, on-site position. You will work on pre-construction civil engineering tasks, including design, planning, permitting, and analysis. You will also assist project managers with complex problem solving and collaborate with other disciplines to deliver projects.
What you'll do#
- Use technical software to analyze, produce, and quality-check project deliverables.
- Learn and use discipline-specific software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, or GIS.
- Participate in the design and planning process for projects of varying size and scope.
- Gain knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations as well as company standards.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree from an ABET accredited engineering program.
- Eligible majors include Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
