About the role#
Fishbeck is hiring a Civil Field intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time position based in Macomb, Michigan. You will work alongside our Civil Field team to support construction projects and gain hands-on experience in the field.
What you'll do#
- Prepare daily reports to document jobsite conditions and completed work.
- Verify that construction activities meet design and contract requirements.
- Support engineers and inspectors with Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Participate in site visits to observe project execution.
- Communicate your findings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil or Environmental Engineering program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working outdoors and traveling to various project sites.
- An interest in learning and contributing to infrastructure projects.
- Prior experience in construction, field inspection, or testing is helpful but not required.
