About the role#
Fishbeck is hiring a Survey Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Farmington Hills, Michigan. You will work with our surveying team on water and wastewater projects. The position offers a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Assist with engineering evaluations and the design of water and wastewater systems.
- Analyze project data and contribute to technical reports.
- Collaborate with engineers and survey professionals across different office locations.
- Attend site visits and client meetings to observe project conditions in the field.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to learn basic design concepts and perform technical calculations.
- Availability for occasional travel, extended hours, and weekend work if required.
- GPS knowledge is considered a plus.
